Hennepin County Treasurer: Important Tax Information

Time to get out our pitchforks and bails of tea. Bring your tax statements.

As always, poised strategically after this year's Nov. 3 elections, our Hennepin County Treasurer has mailed us IMPORTANT TAX INFORMATION. In our "Proposed Property Tax for 2010" the treasurer also includes notice of undoubtedly obligatory TNT ("Truth in Taxation") budget meetings with our elected and unelected local rulers.

Conservatives must embrace (or grapple with) ALL levels of Government, but especially Local Government.

Perhaps you've already missed some "TNT" meetings, but here is an Final-Levy enhanced list of the Treasurer's dates for Hennepin County, Metro Council, Hopkins ISD 270, Golden Valley, Hopkins, and St. Louis Park:

Perhaps not in the spirit of "Truth in Taxation", actual Levy votes occur for Hennepin County and Hopkins on 12/15 and for SLP on 12/21. Our most pertinent TNTs are for Golden Valley, Metropolitan Council, and Hopkins ISD 270. The Hopkins ISD 270 TNT will undoubtedly include the Board's Final Vote on the substantial (maximal 3.206%) Levy Increase.
