A message from Peter Swanson:
The 2007 BPOU Convention for Senate District 44 is scheduled for Thursday, March 22 at 7pm at the Eisenhower Community Center Cafeteria, 1001 Highway 7 in Hopkins.
We will elect delegates to the State Central Committee, as well as leadership for our Senate District for the next two years. It is anticipated that guest speakers will include present and former state and local politicians, as well as representatives from the various presidential campaigns.
A formal convention call will be mailed to delegates and alternates in the next couple of weeks.

SD45 Chili and Chat
A message from Derek Brigham:
I wanted you to know about an great even coming up that I am putting on in SD45.I will be the master of ceremonies and there will be good food, but that’s not the reason to come.

Topic: Tax Increases – What Citizens Can Do.The new DFL senate majority is already calling for a 3/8ths increase in the state sales tax, a dime bump in the gas tax, new vehicle registration fees, an optional county wheelage tax and another metro sales tax for transportation projects. Learn what you can do to fight back locally and state-wide.
